Computer Access: Granted

At Coppin, you have access to the latest technologies and devices. Choose among our various computer labs, research facilities, and study spaces to create, learn, and apply theory to practice. 

Lab Use Policies

All students using computer labs and facilities must adhere to IT policies and procedures. We created these policies and guidelines to make sure computers and other digital devices stay available as student resources. Lab Assistants regularly inspect labs to enforce policies. Please note, if you do not follow IT policies and guidelines, that may result in loss of lab privileges.

When using a computer lab or facility, remember:

• No eating, drinking, or children are allowed in the computer labs
• Be quiet! There are scholars at work.
• Save files and data on your OneDrive and USB. Do NOT save on the hard drive.
• Do not install, change, alter, or modify hardware or software without permission from IT management.
• Lab Assistants are on duty to assist with simple application questions, not to tutor you or complete assignments.
• Users must obey the CSU Students Computer Use and Internet Access Policy. The Internet should be used for educational purposes only, NOT to view, download, or print from pornographic sites or access chat groups.
• Preview your documents before printing to minimize your print charges.
• Begin logging off the computer at least 15 minutes before the lab closes.
• Keep it clean! Straighten the chairs and equipment. Throw away unwanted papers and materials.

Open Computer Labs

Any student can use these computer facilities during open hours. Please contact the IT Helpdesk to confirm the hours.

How to Sign In

1. Tap the screen.
2. Swipe your Coppin ID card or type in your CSU Username and Password

How to Copy/Scan to Copy

1. Place the document face-down on the scanner glass, or place it face-up in the document feeder and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
2. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, select Copy.
3. In the Options pane, select the number of copies.
4. When the document is ready, touch Start to begin copying.
5. After making copies be sure to log out.
